Project Description

The purpose of HyperActive is to allow developers who are using Castle's ActiveRecord to generate the AR classes in a fast, flexible, and active way. It can generate code in any language that implements the .NET CodeDomProvider. The default provider is the CSharpCodeDomProvider.

Project Description

This project was inspired by SubSonic.

It was created out of the need to generate Castle ActiveRecord domain classes against a rapidly changing database in the early stages of a project. SubSonic worked great, I'm glad I chose it for the project I just finished. The project it was used on contained about 100 or so tables, so generating the data access code had to be totally automatic, SubSonic answered this need and then some.

NHibernate and Castle's ActiveRecord are awesome tools. I wanted the power of SubSonic's SubCommander console generation coupled with the power of NHibernate/ActiveRecord. This is what HyperActive answers. It takes the codegeneration capabilities of SubSonic and generates ActiveRecord classes.
